Getting There  
 
The Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo RI trekking popular alternative trekking routes in Everest region takes you to the new height of the journey. This trek is not bustling as the regular Everest base camp trek leads  up to the west part of Everest base camp  reach at the  altitude mountain settlement of Gokyo village that  is surrounded by 19 sacred lakes.

Climate Review
 
We all know weather in Himalayan region is impacted by change according to altitude variation and topography.While we reach the Lukla frequently, it gains altitude then gradually temperature drops each new height. At the higher part temperature drops into the (10s) and (20s) at night .Necessarily need to prepare before exploring the high altitude mountains region.

Level of Difficulties

These expeditions require above average physical fitness if you wish to reach high altitude and require a high level of physical training. There are not any requirements of technical skill required.Typically require 5 - 8 hours of trekking each day and significant changes in elevation.

Best Season to Explore 

October and November is the best season to explore Gokyo lakes, this season has the outstanding view after summer rain. Another major season to discover this area is spring season which is not as bustling as in fall and best time to enjoy the blooming flowers, especially rhododendrons. In fall season lakes are frozen and it looks brilliant turquoise water, pouring waterfalls, impressive glacier river and frozen glacier moraine.

Itinerary 

This trek is popular optional trekking of the Everest region for those who are curious  to explore peaceful spiritual areas. We provide the flexible schedule with plenty of time to enjoy the major highlights of its surrounding and acclimatize.The two weeks itinerary includes all the major information of each location we discover.
 
Day 1: Fly to Lukla (2800m / 9187ft) Trek to Phakding (2610m/8563ft), 2 to 3 hours
 
Early Morning we fly to Lukla from Kathmandu then hike to phakding. we  descending by agriculture land cross subtropical  forest ,typical Sherpa  village of Chipelung, Ghat ,Ghumela and numerous stone scripted manistone,spiritual shrine ,popular Drangdaraic Gompa and Pema Choling Gompa along with kaleidoscopic  view of Kusum Kangaru and sacred mountains khumbila from the vintage. We trek along the bank of Dudhkoshi River and cross multiple suspension bridges over the Dudhkoshi River. 
 
Day 2: Phaking to Namche Bazaar (3444m /11,300m): 5 to 6 hours
 
We hike through the small hamlet of Tok Tok and Zamphute its offer splendid view of Thamserku shining in the sun. Hiking through the isolated Sherpa settlement namely Banker, chumona and Maonju reach to the Utche Choling Gompa on the Bank of Dudh Koshi River.Finally we entry at the Sagarmatha National park have to check permit this National listed in UNESCO world heritage.The trek to Namche Bazaar often bustling in major trekking season we need to extra take care with loaded peters and animals while walk. Day 3: Explore Namche Bazaar

Day 4: Namche to Phortse Thenga (3680m/12,074ft):5 hours
 
We ascend in the ridge of the Bhotekoshi river through juniper, rhododendron forest and large confers bloom in spring. While we explore, cross the small hamlet, summer settlement and yak pastureland. Enjoy the admiring view of the Amadablam and many others mountain peaks along with layers of landscape   throughout the journey.
 
Day 5: Phortse to Machhermo (4410m/14469ft): 5 hours
 
We walk on the ridge of bank Dudhkoshi river descent to the Kangtega valley, climb up to Choyo, and descend to the river eventually trails turns to the Ngozumpa Glacier moraine. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi River can encounter local wildlife Deer, Mountain goats and pheasants. Before reaching the Dole, pass the isolated forest, suspension bridge and pouring waterfalls. We ascend through the ridge with magnificent views of Katega ,Cho-oyu and Thamserku.Along the way we also visit the Himalayan Rescue Hospitable for the high altitude sickness primary treatment.
 
Day 6: Machheremo to Gokyo Village (4750m/15,585ft):5 hours

Hiking to the Gokyo village leads through the ridge of Dudhkoshi River valley offers the view of Cho-Oyu, Kangtega and Thamserku. We cross the spiritual shires beyond the ridge of Dudhkoshi river valley before reaching Phangga. After Phangga trail descends to the riverbank ascent to the aboriginal moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier on straight up. Eventually across the Longpongo, Raboche Tsho and Dudh Pokhari observe the first lakes and unbelievable foot prints of the Buddhist priest finally reach the final destination.

Day 7: Explore the Gokyo lakes and Gokyo RI

Today is our optional day to explore the surrounding Gokyo lakes that offer the incredible view of spectacular Himalayan vintage. This is another acclimatized day in Gokyo lakes and Gokyo RI journey. Based on weather conditions we hike up to the Gokyo Ri that offers the amazing view of the Himalayan panorama along with the pleasant idyllic Gokyo Lakes. We further climb up to 4th and 5th series lakes has the splendid views Cho-oyu ,Gyanchung Kang, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Mt Everest .From the north side has amazing Cho-oyo Base Camp and Ngozumpa Glacier.This spot has the kaleidoscopic view of the Everest mountain vintage more than can explain in the world namely Sounder’s viewpoint. 
 
Day 8: Gokyo  to  Dole (4,090m/13,419ft):6 hours
 
We step back through the first Gokyo lakes and follow the bank of Dudhkoshi river and enjoy the view of Cholaste and Taboche peak. We are descending on the same trail to the Dole.
 
Day 9: Dole to Namche Bazaar
 
We are descending through a ridge of Dudhkoshi river valley to the Namche Bazaar. We are hiking through exploring the traditional and largest Sherpa village of Khumbu valley Khumjung village on the shadow of the sacred mountain Khumbila. We left the mountain behind to return to the Namche Bazaar overnight.
 
Day 10: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2860m/9186ft):6 to 7 hours
 
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla is the last day of your trekking began with steep descent and mammal traffic where you are always at the safe side. Here, trekking passes through beautiful small villages such as the Jorsalle, Monjo, Phakding expecting for a short ascent and continuing decent handrails of Bhotekoshi River crossing it three times. Before reaching Lukla, you have to ascend a gentle slope for 45m to get to the final destinations. After a long day, you must rest overnight at Lukla. 
 
Day 11: Lukla to Kathmandu
 
After early breakfast hoping to get an early flight back to Ramechhap, the flight from Lukla to Ramechhap takes 30. Then drive back to Kathmandu normally it takes 4 to 5 hours’ and then check into a Hotel and get rest.
 
Day 12: Rest day in Kathmandu
 
Rest day in Kathmandu for alternative back up day as well final souvenir shopping and If anyone willing to discover more to historical Kathmandu valley.
 
Day 13: Departure
 
Today is our final day of the journey. The Ama Adventure representative drops you to the airport, wishes you a safe journey and hopes to see you at the next adventure.

Meals

All the teahouse and lodge has a set of many which includes continental and traditional dishes.However, the teahouses in the mountain area serve the Nepali, Indian dishes are common.
 
Tims (Trekking Information Management System)
 
Tims are compulsory for all trekkers wishing to trek in Nepal. For Everest reason Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality Lukla provides cost (Rs 2000/17USD) and ultimately the company arranges all the local paperwork.
 
Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit
 
Permit also required in all Trekking reasons in Nepal to obtain its cost (30 USD) for travel in Sagarmatha National Park included all Government tax(permit also arranged by your company). 

Ethics for Visiting Spiritual Sites 

- Always take permission before entering Monastery, Temple and Holly places with a local governing agency.
 
- Learn about respect customs in terms of attire, offerings behavior at the sacred places
 
- Most of the trekking areas perform ritual people those specially trained to perform rituals that are traditionally associated with the site .Ask before  observing or  participating in rituals that are being performed sometimes outsiders may not have allowed participation.
 
- Respect local culture have different belief systems, sacred times.(for example: women may not allowing to site ceremony during their menstruating)
 
- Always take permission before taking photographs, video, and recording even taking notes. When they refuse, leave them alone.
 
- Stay on marked trails or walkways even in temples, shrines and Mani walls.
 
- Do not remove or move anything at a sacred site. Travelling at a natural sacred site such as a mountain, lakes, spring remember that offering can take many forms.
 
- Find you space and sufficient time to experiences the spirit of sacred sites
