The rivers of the Nepal are one of the fastest flowing rivers since they are originated from the high mountains and flows steeply down. Therefore, these rivers have powerful currents that provides perfect opportunity to make enormous rapids which the rafters will enjoy a lot. There are different categories of river suitable for beginners as well as for the most professional rafters and kayakers. You can do rafting as a day trip or make a week-long trip in the rivers of Nepal.

Trishuli and Bhotekoshi are two rivers which are near from Kathmandu and you can make a trip of 1 day or 2. Rafting is surely one of the most enjoyable thing to do in a group of friends. You will be flowing down in the currents of river for 2-3 hours on a boat enjoying the surrounding natural beauty and the cool water. You will be wearing the safety gears and escorted by a rescue kayakers following you during your raft. Hi I worked with three guides on my last trip to nepal in April may 2023. 1 of the 3 turned out to be an incredible guide, Goma Thapa. She is fluent in English, an author, and hold a masters degree in anthropology. She started out as a porter with 3 sisters in pokhara and started guiding in 2016. She is athletic, professional, and got me great rooms for good prices on my abc trek and ebc trek. I had even been airlifted early in my trip with another agency, and still She believed in me and took me carefully and believed in me. She helped me dig deep and have a life changing experience. Be careful when choosing a guide because a lot of them drink or don't speak English very well. She understands western culture and is a world class guide. She's the kind of person I want on all my dream expeditions, like patagonia and new zealand.
