//php the_title(); ?> Trip Overview
Yala Peak is located in the Langtang Valley trek on the northern Tibetan border of Nepal, within Langtang National Park. The Yala Peak trek is ideal for exploring the authenticity of Tibetan culture along with an amazing backdrop of the Himalayas. The trek to Yala Peak begins in the low regions of farmland and small villages, eventually reaching Kyanjin Gompa. The Langtang region is famous for its adventures as well as its production of yak cheese. It is an ideal short trekking peak near Kathmandu, offering cultural immersion with the Tamang ethnic communities.
This valley, known as the Valley of Glaciers, offers glimpses of mountains, swift rivers, streams, and stunning snow-covered peaks. Langtang National Park is popular for its unseen natural diversity, including various flora and fauna, such as the elusive Red Panda. During summer, the entire valley is covered in flowers, making it more attractive to visitors. Famous British mountaineer Bill Tilman described the Langtang Valley trek as the most beautiful valley in the world. If you wish to experience an adventurous journey combined with cultural authenticity, the Langtang Valley trek should be on your bucket list.

Difficulty Level
Yala Peak Climbing is a challenging adventure that requires good physical fitness and strong endurance. You don’t need prior climbing experience, but the altitude, cold temperatures, and long trekking days make it demanding. Most days involve 5 to 8 hours of hiking on uneven terrain, and summit day can take up to 10 hours. With proper acclimatization and a steady mindset, it’s a rewarding climb for those prepared to push themselves.

While we’ll book the best available tea houses, please note that the facilities may be quite basic compared to the more developed routes. Single rooms are generally available in Kathmandu but they might not be possible to find during the trek.
Weather Information
Mountain weather is unpredictable, and in the Langtang region, temperatures can shift dramatically within a single day. Days may reach up to 25°C while nights can drop to -20°C, especially above 4000 meters. Spring (March to June) offers clear skies, blooming flowers, and mild conditions, making it a popular season. Monsoon (July to mid-September) brings rain below 3500 meters, but fewer crowds and beautiful waterfalls. Autumn (late September to November) is ideal for trekking with crisp air and great mountain views. Winter (December to February) is cold and foggy, but still possible with proper gear. Guesthouses can get chilly, but sleeping bags and extra blankets are provided to keep you warm.
