Trip Overview

The Trishuli River offers an ideal rafting experience for those looking for a quick adventure out of Kathmandu. While the rapids bring plenty of thrill, the landscape adds calm and beauty, making it more than just an adrenaline rush. You’ll enjoy dramatic gorges, rolling hills, and quiet beaches along the way.

Located west of Kathmandu, the river is easily accessible for travelers heading to or returning from Pokhara, Chitwan, or treks in the Annapurna region. It’s a convenient addition to your Nepal itinerary and offers a great chance to try rafting without committing to multi-day expeditions.

The day begins with a hotel pickup and drive to Charaudi, followed by a safety briefing before entering the water. You’ll navigate several class 2 to 3 rapids before stopping for lunch and tackling more rapids later. The trip wraps up with snacks at Mugling before returning to Kathmandu by evening.

After a safety briefing, you’ll enter the water and tackle class 2 to 3 rapids such as Ladies Delight, Upset, and Surprise. Midway, enjoy lunch by the river before continuing down the stream. The rafting ends at Mugling where you’ll have tea or coffee with light snacks. After that, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu.
