Known as the Roof of the World, it lies on a vast high plateau at an average altitude of around 4,000 meters, creating an extraordinary setting for an unforgettable journey like the Lhasa to Kathmandu Mountain Biking Tour.

Deeply rooted in ancient Buddhist traditions, Tibet is defined by its dramatic landscapes, age-old monasteries, and a spiritual way of life that is still very much alive. Framed by the Kunlun Mountains in the north and the mighty Himalayas in the south, the region covers about 1.2 million square kilometers and is home to nearly 2.3 million people. Travelers are often struck by the warmth, simplicity, and genuine smiles of the Tibetan people.

Cycling from Lhasa to Kathmandu is considered one of the most exciting cross-border biking routes in the world. The journey leads riders across high mountain passes, through isolated villages, past sacred temples, and over rugged terrain that feels untouched by time. Every day on the trail offers a deeper connection to a land that has long inspired adventurers, scholars, and spiritual seekers.

Though remote and demanding, Tibet rewards those who venture into it with a sense of peace and timeless beauty.
