Ama Adventure offers day tour in Kathmandu valley creates opportunities to experiences the isolated cultural heritage sites, the magnificent glimpse of natural beauty and stunning scenarios land of the Himalayas. This trip is best for short vacations that provide many options to explore the religious activities, rituals, art and architectural marvels.

Day Tour we take you to Kathmandu valley sites such as Temple, Pagoda, and Palaces of the ancient period. After Breakfast, we start exploring the UNESCO World Heritage sites from Kathmandu Durbar square, Pasupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. Kathmandu Durbar square has the ancient art and architecture of the Malla dynasty from the 12th to 18th century. Likewise, Swayambhunath has combined both Hindu and Buddhist a shrine is known as the name of Monkey Temple among the foreigners.

Pasupatinath Temple is located on the bank of the Bagmati River that is a major pilgrimage for Hindu devotees. The Temple is surrounded by small statues of multiple Hindu deities that offer the entire place as a sacred Garden of Eden.

Bouddhanath stupa is one of the biggest stupas in South Asia was built on the trade route to Tibet. It lies in the east part of Kathmandu that is a maximum of 36m from the ground. This ancient colossal stupa is the center of Buddhist followers and also listed in the UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. This stupa called Khasa Charity in the Nepali language. Apart from that are more than fifty stupas built by Tibetan merchant’s influx of Tibetan refugees over the years. It has splendid art and architecture of the ancient period.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu( 1400m/ 4,593ft)

Ama Adventure representative will pick you up from the airport. After settling in at your lodge, spend the evening exploring the neighborhoods. If you are nearby Thamel or Patan areas you can explore the beautiful collection of temples, statues, palaces, and opportunities to reaming shopping.

Day 2: Bike around Shivapuri National Park (1400m/4,593ft), 3 - 4 Hours

After breakfast, we will check your gear for a mountain bike to make sure you have everything to hit on the trail. After breakfast gets ready for heading towards the Shivapuri National Park biking on the single-track jeep road through the wooden land. Basically, you cross 11 to 12 miles but it is dependent upon your route selection. Before starting the biking visit the ancient Budanikhnatha temple. You can observe the magnificently carved stone idol of sleeping Vishnu from the outer periphery of the pond. Once in Shivapuri National Park, explore the jungle trails, waterfalls, and streams while you bike through the Shivapuri watershed and conservation area. This spot is great for bird watching and on a clear, you can see the snow-capped Himalayans view from the vintage. After a whole day’s ride returns to Kathmandu for the most deserving rest.
