Trip Overview

Welcome to one of the greatest mountain biking adventures on earth. This 14-day journey follows Nepal’s legendary Annapurna Circuit, blending high-altitude challenges with raw Himalayan beauty. You’ll pedal through river valleys, alpine forests, ancient villages, and across the spine of the Annapurna range. At every turn, dramatic landscapes and cultural encounters make this more than just a ride; it’s a moving meditation in motion.

The route begins in the subtropical lowlands at Besisahar, riding through the lush Marsyangdi Valley with its cascading waterfalls, terraced fields, and vibrant villages. As you ascend, the air gets thinner, the trails more rugged, and the scenery increasingly surreal. The terrain shifts from green hillsides to dry alpine deserts surrounded by ice-capped giants. Along the way, you’ll share the trail with yaks, mule trains, and mountain trekkers; all adding to the timeless rhythm of this Himalayan pilgrimage.

The climax comes at the mighty Thorong La Pass, perched at 5,416 meters, where you push and carry your bike across Nepal’s highest rideable point. From there, the landscape opens into Mustang’s desert plateaus, apple orchards in Marpha, and the healing waters of Tatopani. Every day ends in warm tea houses with stories shared by firelight and starlit skies above. This is not just a biking trip; it’s a test of will and a celebration of wild freedom.

Traveling to Nepal is easier than ever. There’s no requirement for vaccination certificates or negative PCR tests currently. However, it’s best to check with your airline and any transit countries for their specific rules.

What if my flights are delayed or canceled?
Ama Adventure cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience caused by unexpected flight or airport issues such as delays, cancellations, or terminal changes.
Do your guides speak English?
Yes, our guides speak English. Most began as porters and gained their English skills through practical experience rather than formal education. While not native speakers, they communicate effectively and assist with interactions where locals may not speak English.

Will my bike get scratched?
Minor scratches are normal during riding and loading/unloading but we take care to protect your bike.

Some airlines charge bike carriage fees, which must be paid by the client. We will inform you if such fees apply.
