Langtang Valley Trek – 12 Days Brief Insight
Experience a culturally immersive and compact Langtang trek, offering an enriching encounter with the Tamang ethnic communities. Embark on the Langtang Valley Trek in Nepal, commencing with an exploration of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The journey unfolds with a drive to Syabrubesi on the following day, setting the stage for our trek through the lower region of the Langtang Valley.
Traversing the Langtang National Park, picturesque villages, fertile farmlands, and lush forests, our trail leads us to Kyangjin Gompa. Here, a climb to Tsergo Ri rewards us with breathtaking sunrise vistas of the Langtang ranges. This region, bordering Tibet, echoes its history as a pivotal trading route, evident in the vibrant local culture.
Additionally, our itinerary includes a visit to ‘Langtang Village,’ deeply impacted by the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. The 11-day expedition culminates back in Kathmandu, completing a full circle of this thrilling journey. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
After arriving, a representative of Ama Adventure will come to the airport. Furthermore, check in to a hotel explorer near your neighbouring .
Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Tour & Trip Preparation
After Breakfast we start a tour around the world Heritage sites from Swayambhunath that is a popular pilgrimage site for both hindu and buddhist devotees and known as the self created stupa. Tour continues to Pashupatinath temple, a famous pilgrimage site for hindu devotees. The day tour ends at the Boudhanath stupa, considered as the largest stupa in South Asia.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft) by drive: 7 - 8 Hours
After Breakfast, we start to travel to the Syabrubesi that is the starting point for the Langtang region. The journey will be on bumpy and winding roads but on a clear day, one eye can upon a spectacular mountain view makes your day more wrathful. Overnight at Syabrubesi.
Day 4: Syabrubesi to Rimche (2,560m/8, 399ft) : 6 - 7 Hours
Today we trek to Rimche. In the beginning cross, the Bhotekoshi river continues its journey on the bank of the Langtang River. The entire journey crosses small villages gradually enters the diverse subtropical forest of cactus bushes, oak, and Rhododendron. After lunch trek trail gets a stepper that will take about 2 hours. After a long day overnight at Rimche.
Day 5: Rimche/ Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3455m/11,335ft): 5 - 6 Hours
Trek to Langtang village begins with a gradual climb follows by the steeper trail as the altitudes progress. We will walk through a dense forest of rhododendrons maple and oak. On this journey, you will be rewarded by incredible mountains view and pass the glacial. Langtang village is decorated by fluttering prayer flags, Tibetans style architecture, mani walls. It is great to witness roaming Yaks and golden barley fields. Overnight at Langtang village.
Day 6: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 3 - 4 Hours
Today we trek through the Langtang village before making a gentle climb past Tibetans Tamang settlements, mani walls, and pastureland. It takes 3 hours to reach the Kyanjin Gumpa; popular for a centuries-old monastery. We arrived in the early afternoon to enjoy your day acclimatize and exploring around. For special experiences check out the Yak cheese production just north of Hotel Yala Peak. Overnight at Kyanjin.
Day 7: Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,700m/14,100ft): 3- 4 Hours / Tsergo Ri (/ 4995m/14,985ft) 6-7 Hours
Today is an optional day to take an alternative day. Enjoy your day with an amazing view, explore the village or go on a short hike to Kyanjin Ri where the bunches of prayers are flags flattering on the top of the mountains. If you wish to attempt more altitudes take a hike to Tesergo Ri that offers a spectacular view of the entire Langtang range. Return at a hotel; overnight.
Day 8: Kyanjin Gumpa To Rimche (2,560m/7,680ft): 7 - 8 Hours
After Breakfast your journey begins to descent to Rimche passing through the stunning forest. The trail continues to follow creeks, streams, and river valleys. Overnight at Rimche.
Day 9: Rimche to Syabrubesi : 4 - 5 Hours
Today is the final day in the mountains to enjoy the trek. Return to Syabrubesi through dense cool forest. On this downhill witness the view of surrounding hills and river valley. Enjoy your hot shower and favorite drinks and food in the evening; Overnight.
Day 10: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by drive: 7 - 8 Hours
We traveled to Kathmandu. While you arrive you can spend the rest of your last day catching souvenir shopping and exploring the neighborhood. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu
Today is your free day in Kathmandu. if you are willing to sight seen around Kathmandu we will organize a tour as well. After your comfortable day, there will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.
Day 12: Departure
Today is the final day of our trip. The Ama Adventure representative drops you at the airport, wishes you a safe journey, and hopes to see you on your next adventure.

Difficulty Level
This Trekking requires above physical fitness there is no need to have special technical skill even bingers are also successful in this trip. Basically, 5 to 9 hours of trekking gain significant elevation gain.
