Itinerary
Upon arrival at the airport, we will be welcomed by a representative of Ama Adventure. Check into a hotel and then explore the surrounding area.
Afterward, we visited Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath, which are world heritage sites. Furthermore, Swayambhunath is known as the self-created stupa, Pashupatinath Temple is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site, and Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world.
Early in the morning, we will fly to Lukla which takes 35minutes, Lukla is the starting point of our trekking. The trek to Phakding village has to pass typical Sherpa villages, farmland, Buddhist Chorten, and the incredible view of Kumbila and Kusum kangaroo peak. We walk on the bank of Dudh Kosi Rivers across multiple suspension bridges. After a few hours of walk arrives at Phakding. overnight in Phakding.
Trek to Namche our trail goes through Handrails of Dudh Koshi River along the way pass through the pine forest and we continue walking on the trail that goes north up the Benkar village. After crossing the Dudhkoshi River and passing through Chumoa and Monjo villages we reached the entrance of the Sagarmatha National park. After crossing the suspension bridge, we reach Jorsalle, which is the last village before reaching Namche Bazaar. After the bridge begins the difficult hike up to Namche Bazaar and enjoys the beauty of Everest view. Along the way to Namche, we pass by waterfalls, bridges, flora, and fauna. Namche Bazaar is the biggest town in Khumbu valley when you reach the much-deserved rest.
Namche Bazaar is the primary administrative town for the Khumbu region with all its facilities. For Acclimatization, we Hike up to Sagarmatha National park to enjoy the spectacular view of (Chomolumba) Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Kongde, and many more. To gain, more altitude, and rest before the next ascent you can spend your day hiking to the Everest viewpoint. Another great option can also trek to Khumjung to explore Monastery, Yeti Skul. After lunch return to Namche Bazar.
After breakfast, we continue our journey on the gradual trails like ups and downs. In our journey, you will like to spot Himalayan pheasants, musk deer, and Himalayan Thars. Train descending to Kyanjuma.From Sansa, we follow the Gokyo trails and from Mong, we get a glimpse of Ama Dablam, Thamserku. Tawoche and Khumbila mountains. Our trails descend to Dudhkoshi Khola after which it is an uphill climb through rhododendron forests before. From here we get good views of the Tawach and Chocolate mountains. Overnight at Phorse.
After passing a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, we are likely to come face to face with local wildlife such as pheasants, mountain goats, and musk deer. Our trail crosses through forests, waterfalls, and bridges before reaching Dole. We climb on a steady trail through a scenic ridge with a view of Cho you, Kantegz. You will continue walking through small villages and sandy trails before reaching Mamchhermo. We can visit the Himalayan Rescue Hospital for a lecture regarding altitude sickness, its precaution, and primary treatment. Arrive at Machhermo, overnight.
We descend on a hill and enjoy views of the Dudh Koshi valley and Kangtega, Thamserku, and Cho- You mountains. Beyond the ridge, the valley widens as the trail passes through a Chorten and reaches Phangnga. We descend to the river bank before climbing up to the terminal moraine of the Ngozamba Glacier on a steep trail. We pass through Longpongo, Ranboche Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari before reaching Gokyo. On the trail next to the first lake, we see what is believed to be the footprints of a Lama (Buddhist priest). We explore Dudh Pokhari before calling it a night. Overnight in Gokyo.
We spend another day in Gokyo to acclimatize to the high altitude. If the weather is good, we will climb Gokyo Ri today. From the top of Gokyo Ri, we admire the Himalayan vista and the tranquil Gokyo lakes. We also hike to the fourth and the fifth Gokyo lakes. The 4th lake is only about 3km north of Gokyo. It is marked by high cliffs and Himalayan peaks rising above it. We continue to walk a little further and reach the 5th lake. A climb up a nearby hill will guarantee us remarkable views of Cho- Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse, and Makalu. We can see a lot more from here - the spot is called scoundrel’s viewpoint. From the northern part of the 5th lake, we see the Cho Oyu base and Ngazumpa Glacier which is the biggest in the world. We walk back to Goyo to spend the night.
We descend on a trail along the Dudh Koshi River and pass the first Gokyo lakes. On the way, we also enjoy views of the Cholatse and Taboche peaks. Our trail descends before climbing a hill. After reaching the Chorten at the edge, we see great views of Thamserku, Cho Oyu, and Kangtega mountains. We pass machhermo, Luza and Lhafama village before reaching Dole. Overnight in Dole.
We descend on a steep trail to Phorte Thanga admiring rhododendron, wildflowers, and waterfalls. We also come across mountain goats, musk deer, pheasants, etc. from Mong, we can admire a good Kang Tega mountains are ours to admire. After walking for a while, we reach an intersection where the trail from Sansa meets our trial We walk on walk on a trail that clings to a forested slope beyond Kyangjumpa, winding through several bends. After reaching Namche army camp hill, we look back to see Lhote, the tip of Everest, and Tengboche for one last time. About a kilometer from here is Namche Bazar.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla is the last day of your trekking start with a steep descent and mammal traffic where you are always on the safe side. Here, trekking passes through beautiful small villages such as the Jorsalle, Monjo, and Phakding expecting for short ascent and continuing decent handrails of the Bhotekoshi River crossing it three times. Before reaching Lukla, you have to ascend a gentle slope for 45m to get to the final destination. After a long day, you must deserve rest overnight at Lukla.
After early breakfast, hoping to get an early flight back to Kathmandu, the flight from Lukla to Kathmandu takes 35 minutes. Then drive back to Kathmandu hotel normally it takes a hours’ and then checking to Hotel and get a rest.
Today is your free day in Kathmandu for rest and shopping, if you are willing to sightsee around Kathmandu we will organize a tour as well. After your comfortable day, there will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.
Today is the final day of our trip. The Ama Adventure representative drops you at the airport, wishes you a safe journey, and hopes to see you on your next adventure.

Gokyo Lakes trek required medium to high physical fitness, for travelers who don't need any technical training. The only challenging factor on this trek is the number of walking days on uneven trails for several hours. Altitudes are also another challenging part, otherwise, it is a moderate and pleasant walk.
October, November, and March to April are the best time to explore the Gokyo Lakes trek. The weather gets much-shining right after the monsoon, the sky, mountains, and entire nature look so shining to the sun.
All the teahouses and lodges have many, including continental and local Nepali dishes. This trek has provided the lodge or tea house accommodation that is share base single supplement also can available on your required at additional cost.
