Located north of Kathmandu Valley, the Chisapani Nagarkot hike offers a close-up view of the Himalayan panorama along with incredible natural diversity. This trek is becoming popular for festival vacations, weekends, and trekking with children.
The journey begins with an hour-long drive to Sundarijal, near a large watershed that supplies 40% of the water for Kathmandu. This trek is the perfect destination to visit any time of the year. It is not too difficult and is easily accessible from the capital. The short trek allows for a substantial round trip within the Shivapuri National Park, from Sundarijal to Changunarayan.
The Nagarkot Chisapani trek is suitable for those with limited time and budget who seek adventure. Difficulty Level
This trek is able to do people with above-average physical fitness. There is no requirement to have special technical skill beginners can also do this trek. Thus trek may reach high altitudes and require a high level of physical exertion. Even though we hike for 5 to 10 hours we will gain significant elevation.
