Description

Shivapuri hike is located north of the Kathmandu valley. Its starts from Budhanilkantha that is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindu. While you enter you will feature a reclined statue of lord Vishnu floating in a coil of snakes.

The short hike is rewarded with cultural villages, diverse nature, and incredible views. It is a chance to see Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang range on a clear day. When you will also reach the top you will get an incredible view of the Kathmandu valley.

In this journey, you will reach the Shivapuri peak at 2,732m above sea level. During the hike, you cross the Bagodar pristine water resource of the Bagmati rivers as a well important natural water source for Kathmandu valley.

This hike is able to complete people with above-average physical fitness. There is no requirement to have special fitness beginners; hikers also can do this hike.

Important Note

Shivapuri day hike is not recommended for solo travelers. you must either travel with groups or a guide for safety reasons.

Itinerary

After breakfast, drive to Budanikhnta, which is the starting point of the trek. Before getting to the entrance of Shivapuri Nationalpark points we walk on the 2.3 km that is the place to get an entrance ticket. This is the last point where we can purchase the trail snacks and drinks.We start ancient from the entrance it takes 3,4 hours to get to the Shivpuri peaks. it is even a close and short hike get ready ancient stairs that gradually to the top of the destinations. Before reaching the hilltop we cross a few villages Nagi Gumba Bagdwar, Nagi Gumba. if you want to extend your trip there is a place to spend the night. The surrounding of Gumba decorated with prayer flags makes it so vibrant. We will descend on the same way to Budanilkantha and drive back to Kathmandu.
