Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu & Half-Day Sightseeing (1,400 m / 4,593 ft): 3-4 hrs

Upon arrival at the international airport in Kathmandu, our representative will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After a brief rest, you’ll embark on a guided tour of two iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites-Kathmandu Durbar Square, once the royal palace of the Malla kings, and Swayambhunath, the hilltop stupa with all-seeing eyes and playful monkeys.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (900 m / 2,953 ft): 7-8 hrs

Today begins with a scenic drive through the heart of Nepal, passing rivers, rolling hills, and villages. Arrive in Pokhara, a peaceful lakeside city nestled beneath the Himalayas. After hotel check-in, take time to stroll along Lakeside’s charming streets or simply relax by the water.

Day 3: Sunrise at Sarangkot & Pokhara Sightseeing (1,592 m / 5,223 ft)

Rise before dawn and drive to Sarangkot for a majestic sunrise over the Annapurna range, including Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri. After breakfast, visit Bindhyabasini Temple, Davis Falls, the sacred Gupteshwor Cave, Phewa Lake with its island temple, the Seti River Gorge, and a Tibetan refugee camp known for its handicrafts.

Day 4: Drive to Lumbini (150 m / 492 ft): 4-5 hrs

Drive south to the lowlands of Nepal and arrive in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. This sacred site is filled with monasteries built by Buddhist communities from across the world. Spend your evening strolling through the peaceful monastic zone and reflecting on the serene atmosphere.

Day 5: Morning Lumbini Tour & Drive to Chitwan (415 m / 1,362 ft): 5-6 hrs

Visit the Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar, and the ruins of ancient monasteries where Prince Siddhartha was born. After the spiritual tour, you’ll drive through the southern plains to Chitwan. Settle into your jungle lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening followed by dinner.

Day 6: Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park (415 m / 1,362 ft)

Start your day with a canoe ride down the Rapti River, spotting birds and crocodiles. Then hop on a jeep safari through the national park to see wildlife like rhinos, deer, and perhaps even a tiger. Visit the elephant breeding center and enjoy a relaxed evening at the resort.

Ama Adventure arranges both solo and group travel, ensuring amazing experiences with people from all over the world. Before departure, we reconfirm the number of participants in your group. We guarantee all group departure dates even if there’s only one person signed up for the Glimpse of Nepal. This ensures that your adventure is confirmed regardless of group size.

Difficulty Level

This trip is easy and designed for travelers of all fitness levels. Light walking and sightseeing are included, and no prior trekking or hiking experience is required. Bring comfortable walking shoes and stay hydrated during the day.

Meals

Throughout our trek, you’ll savor authentic Nepalese dishes alongside international cuisines such as Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian. Breakfast and dinner will be served at the tea houses or lodge menus where we stay overnight, while lunches will be provided en route to our next destination. During the trek, all meals are included. In Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, Lumbini, breakfast is provided, and farewell dinner will be arranged for our guests on the final night in Kathmandu.

Accommodation

We’ll be accommodated at Hotel Manaslu in Kathmandu, and Bodhi Suites in Pokhara during our tour. Accommodations are based on twin sharing. For those requesting a single room, there will be an additional cost of USD 100 and are available in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Weather Information

Daytime temperatures in Kathmandu and Pokhara on average are 25°C in March and May. .depending on the season. From September to December, the temperature cools down to 20°C, and in December to February, it is warmer during the day and colder at night, from 4°C to 22°C.
