Yala Peak is located in the Langtang Valley trek on the northern Tibetan border of Nepal, within Langtang National Park. The Yala Peak trek is ideal for exploring the authenticity of Tibetan culture along with an amazing backdrop of the Himalayas. The trek to Yala Peak begins in the low regions of farmland and small villages, eventually reaching Kyanjin Gompa. The Langtang region is famous for its adventures as well as its production of yak cheese. It is an ideal short trekking peak near Kathmandu, offering cultural immersion with the Tamang ethnic communities.

This valley, known as the Valley of Glaciers, offers glimpses of mountains, swift rivers, streams, and stunning snow-covered peaks. Langtang National Park is popular for its unseen natural diversity, including various flora and fauna, such as the elusive Red Panda. During summer, the entire valley is covered in flowers, making it more attractive to visitors. Famous British mountaineer Bill Tilman described the Langtang Valley trek as the most beautiful valley in the world. Level of Difficulty

Climbing Yala Peak requires basic technical skills. The climb reaches high altitudes and demands a high level of physical exertion. Hikes can last from 5 to 10 hours, with significant elevation gain.

Itinerary

After arriving at the airport we will be welcomed by a representative of Ama Adventure. Furthermore, check into a hotel and explore the surrounding neighborhoods.  This evening we will have a meeting, briefing, and welcome dinner.  
After Breakfast, we start to explore  Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Hindu pilgrim site Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath, which are the world’s Heritage sites. Moreover, Swayambhunath is known as the self-created stupa, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites for Hindu, and Boudhanath stupa is known as one of the largest stupas in the world.    
After Breakfast, we start to travel to Syabrubesi, which is the starting point for the Langtang region. The journey will be on bumpy and winding roads but on a clear day, one eye can upon a spectacular mountain view makes your day more wrathful; Overnight.  
Today we trek to Rimche. In the beginning, the Bhotekoshi river continues its journey on the bank of the Langtang River. The entire journey crosses small villages and gradually enters the diverse subtropical forest of cactus bushes, oak, and Rhododendron. After lunch, the trek trail gets a stepper that will take about 2 hours; Overnight.   
Today’s we trek to  Langtang Village through isolated Tibetan settlements, waterfalls, streams, and diverse forests. However, while crossing the lama hotel you will be rewarded with a sensible view of the Langtang range. A Buddhist stone mane wall along the side of the trail makes the journey more spiritual. During the chance to see the dangerous animal Red panda you must be focused and silent. The high-altitude mountain village is decorated by fluttering prayers, art, and architecture of Tibetan Buddhism, stone mane walls. It’s great to witness roaming yaks around the Barley field. This village was badly affected by the 2015 earthquake and is now completely rebuilt. Finally, after a long day's walk, I deserve to have a rest and spend the night.  
Today we trek to Kyanjin  Gomba through the longest mane wall,  Tibetan settlement, and yak pasture land. Along the way, we passed a spiritual water mill, prayer wheels, Chorten, mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. Moreover, the trail is more joyful with spectacular mountain views, sighing rocks, and the most popular Langtang Lirung Glacier from the vantage. After a beautiful short hike, spend the day exploring the principle of Monastery of this area's livelihood of neighbors and overnight at Tea House.  
Today is a hiking day. We hike up to Kyanjin Ri (4773m/15,656ft), a sacred place of this region that is a place to observe a panorama of the surrounding mountain. After spending an amazing time at the top back to the Teahouse. After lunch, we will do short training about Yala peak climbing techniques.

Early this morning we climbed up to Yala peak with climbing gear, sacred places of this region that is a place to observe a panorama of the surrounding mountain from Yala peak summit. After spending an amazing time at the top, back to Yala base camp and continue to Kyanjin Gomba  for the  overnight stay at the tea house.  
After Breakfast, we start descending the same trail to the Rimche. While we descend we need to be very careful while we walk down, especially take off our legs and knees finally overnight at Rimche.  
After Breakfast, we step back to the Syabrubesi and follow the same trail. The whole journey will be descending most of the time and overnight at Syabrubesi.  
After Breakfast, we traveled to Kathmandu. While you arrive you can spend the rest of your last day catching souvenir shopping and exploring the neighborhood. Overnight at the Hotel.  
Today is your free day in Kathmandu for rest and shopping. If you are willing to sightsee around Kathmandu we will organize a tour as well. After your comfortable day, there will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.      
Today is the final day of our trip. The Ama Adventure representative drops you at the airport, wishes you a safe journey, and hopes to see you on your next adventure.

FAQ

Yala  peak is considered as one of the highest climbing peaks of Nepal. It is not difficult at an extreme altitude of 6,461m.Mera peak climbing is a great introduction to high altitude climbing and the most appropriate climb before attempting for other challenging mountain expeditions.
 
It is possible to climb Yala Peak all through the year but summer time is not recommended due to the heavy monsoon.Spring Autumn is considered to be the best and most suitable time of the year for any climbing journey in the Himalayas. Mera peak can also be attempted during the winter but the extreme cold could be challenging for those who are not experienced with high altitudes.
 
Obviously yes! In normal situations our blocked trips are guaranteed to run. Your trip will continue even if your other travellers cancel the trip. Unless there is a situation which is out of control such as a political riot, natural disaster, pandemic, epidemic or weather catastrophes, our trip is 100% guaranteed.

You will be traveling with a group with a similar interest unless you book for the private tour.You will be guided by experiences and professional local climbing instructor who have been summit successfully multiple times.Your guide will provide you with important tips and teach you the tricks while assisting you from day one.

Even though it is known to be a trekking peak; It requires some mountaineering, Yala peak is known to be a trekking peak that requires proper trekking gear and equipment. Please check the essential peak climbing equipment section.
 
You will get 3 healthy meals each day while climbing Yala peak. Generally you will have your breakfast, lunch and dinner where you stay everyday. Lunch will be provided at the teahouse along the way. While staying at the tented camps during the climb we will be served packed lunch along with tea or coffee. Breakfast and Dinner are freshly prepared by my own climbing cooks. The meals contain fresh fruits and organic ingredients sourced from Kathmandu and local villages.
 
While trekking in the lower region you will stay in available Tea Houses or lodges.During your climb you will overnight in camping tents for 3, 4 nights. We will provide separate guest tents, Toilet tents and Kitchen tents.
 
You do not require special technical mountaineering experience for Mera Peak climbing as long as you are fit and strong enough to walk for several hours for several days on varied terrains. You may need to hold the ropes, use an ice pick, harness and iceboot on the slopes during the climb. Before arriving in Nepal we will provide instructions about the techniques for the climb. The gear and basic climbing skill training is also set aside one or two day before the summit.
 
Yala  peak is a mountain that is above 5000m so we recommend having an insurance policy that covers evacuation at least up to the altitudes of 6,000m. We also recommend you to get insured for medical issues, flight delays, cancellations and other issues.
 
Yes, of course you will need a climbing permit. The permit for the climbing was easily acquired through a registered and licensed agency. Each of you need to purchase both nationalpark and climbing permits. Ama Adventure will arrange all the paperwork and climbing permits.
